ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST
The school is christened after the name of St. John the Baptist and is enlightened by the spirit of his patronage. He was the forerunner of Jesus Christ. He came to bear witness to eternal truth, light and life. His mission was to prepare the way of the Lord and make his paths straight; to make low every mountain and hil, to smoothen the rough, to straighten the crooked, so that all may see the salvation of God.
St. John the Baptist was considered the greatest of those born to women, a prophet who exhorted his followers to bear fruits worthy of repentance, rebuked the wrongdoers, taught the virtue of sharing with the fellowmen, warned against extorting the belongings of the neighbours.
